Two bills aimed at helping veterans — the Housing for All Veterans Act and the BUFFER Act — are making their way through congressional committees. Advocates have tried to attach provisions that would give veterans access to psychedelic-assisted therapy, but those additions are not making the cut. This matters because veterans are one of the most compelling patient groups for psychedelic treatments, yet the legislative path keeps closing on them.
These are housing/benefits vehicles. Every cycle veteran-adjacent bills move without the psychedelic amendment we push for. Pattern holds painfully.
