In the US Congress, psilocybin reform is most likely to advance only as a small add-on to larger bills — like ones focused on veterans' care or government spending — rather than as its own standalone law. Getting a dedicated psilocybin bill to a full floor vote requires more political support than currently exists. Small, targeted additions to veteran-focused legislation are the realistic path forward this year.
Riders survive; standalone reform doesn't have the votes. I take my district by moving incrementally through veteran and research vehicles.
